1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Canvo ("the Service"), operated by Axologic Software Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including campaign administrators and canvassers.

2. Description of Service

Canvo is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) application that helps political campaigns, sales teams, and community organisations plan and track door-to-door canvassing activity. Core features include territory mapping, door visit logging, outcome tracking, and progress dashboards.

The Service is provided on a subscription basis. A free tier is available for grassroots campaigns at our sole discretion and may be modified or discontinued at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts and Authentication

Authentication is handled through Kinde, a third-party identity provider. By creating an account, you also agree to Kinde's terms of service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorised use of your account at hello@canvo.ca.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable federal, provincial, or local law or regulation, including privacy and anti-spam laws
• Harass, intimidate, or deceive individuals contacted during canvassing activities
• Collect or store personal data of door contacts beyond what is necessary for legitimate canvassing purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent
• Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or any content that infringes third-party rights

5. Campaign Data

Your campaign data—including canvassing routes, door visit records, outcome notes, and territory information—belongs to you. We will never sell, license, or publicly disclose your campaign data to any third party.

We access your data only as necessary to operate and support the Service. We do not use your campaign data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate rights and permissions to collect and process any personal information you record within the Service, and for complying with all applicable privacy legislation in your jurisdiction.

6. Subscription and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at the time of purchase. All fees are stated in Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated and are exclusive of applicable taxes.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial periods, except where required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and content, is owned by Axologic Software Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms grants you any ownership interest in the Service.

You retain full ownership of all data and content you upload or create within the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. Availability and Modifications

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where practical.

We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features from the Service at any time. For material changes that reduce existing functionality on paid plans, we will provide at least 30 days' notice.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Axologic Software Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate these terms at any time. You may terminate by cancelling your account. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.

Upon termination, you may export your campaign data for a period of 30 days. After that period, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
